Welcome to Air Rifle Shooting. Our Air Rifle Shooting takes place from a purpose built covered ‘Fort’ set amongst the trees. Swivel seats or bean bags at the firing points make shooting comfortable in a variety of poses whilst sheltered from the vagaries of the English weather.
The targets are arranged at a variety of distances, zeroing targets, knock over birds and animals, paper sighting targets, moving Gamo targets are all on offer.
New Air Arms S200 and Weihrauch 95K .177 air rifles are used for the Air Target shooting, whilst Air Arms TX200 .22 are used for Vermin Control Courses.
Shane Smith M.I.P.S.S Julie Allen M.I.P.S.S are the resident air rifle instructors and offer IPSSCHOOLS Air Rifle Proficiency Courses that teach basic safe handling for airgunners - a must for young shots and adults. These may be taken in a single day or over a period of weeks according to the age and ability of the clients.

Shane Smith Shooting Academy is the Head Quarters of IPSSCHOOLS LTD, the National Governing Body of Tribullseye which incorporates Clay Shooting, Airgun and Archery. Professional Instructor courses for the three sports are run regularly at The Mill whereby you gain the knowledge and skills to teach Safe Shooting to others.
